This training is open to all students, undergraduate, and graduate and there are three sessions.

Session I will be about Unpacking Bias. We will examine conscious (explicit) and unconscious (implicit) bias, discuss some examples, and examine how our personal biases impact the way we interact with one another.  Unpacking biases is a way to both acknowledge our biases and start the work of becoming anti-racist.

Session II will be the Anti-Racist training, where we will talk about the many ways we can engage in anti-racism work. Much of the work is a personal, individual process to recognize the many ways racism is ingrained into our culture and how we can dismantle systemic racism and foster a more equitable and just society.

In Session III, you will be engaged in a dialogue with another group to discuss what participants have learned from Session I and Session II.

Registrants must participate in the first session and be able to participate in the second session; after completing the two sessions and participant will be able to participate in a dialogue with another group. Participants will receive a certificate after completing the three sessions.  Please attend all three sessions that you have been assigned.

We will be providing training in groups of 20 or less, to allow for a better interactive experience.  The available dates and times are (in Eastern Standard Time):
