This form is for parents of children enrolled in the youth development program with RisingOaks Early Learning operating within the Waterloo Region District School Board. YDP Families are asked to provide information to confirm their plans for the upcoming Spring Break (April 12-16).

All Opt-out Requests for children regularly scheduled to attend before and/or after school care on these days MUST BE RECEIVED BY MARCH 29th AT 11:59 PM to receive credit for these days.

In addition, using this same form, all Opt-IN Requests for children who do not regularly attend on these days but require care during the Spring Break must be received by MARCH 29th AT 11:59 PM to guarantee care.

NEW DUE TO COVID-19 - PROGRAM LOCATIONS
In past years, Spring Break care was offered at a host location where 2-4 YDP programs would come together for the Spring Break. Due to COVID-19, we are going to continue with this practice; however, each school will have their own separate room within the host location. The classrooms and all high touch surfaces within the school are deep cleaned prior to Spring Break.

Having each YDP program with its own classroom means that, in some cases, enrolment may not support this decision. We reserve the right to cancel Spring Break care for one or more programs if minimum registration thresholds are not met. The WRDSB has advised that if the YDP program is cancelled due to low enrolment, you may be able to enrol your YDP child in the extended day program for Spring Break. While this adds contacts to the extended day program they would be within the same school group to minimize risk.

Decisions regarding each location will be made and communicated to families on or before April 2.

The list of host schools offering full-day care during the Spring Break for children enrolled in the youth development program is as follows:
-  Bridgeport PS
-  Franklin PS
-  Vista Hills PS

Students registered in the following schools are invited to join us at an alternate location as noted below:
- Lexington, Sandowne and Lester B Pearson PS YDP students are invited to join us at Bridgeport PS
- Chicopee Hills and Crestview PS YDP students are invited to join us at Franklin PS
- Northlake Woods, Laurelwood and Abraham Erb PS YDP students are invited to join us at Vista Hills PS

PROGRAM HOURS
As the WRDSB extended day is also running a spring break program, to avoid any confusion, we will offer this program at our typical hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

BAGGED LUNCH POLICY
Please note that students must bring a bagged lunch on PD Days, during Winter Break and Spring Break. The lunch provided must meet the criteria outlined in RisingOaks' Bagged Lunch Policy. This can be found on our website at https://www.risingoaks.ca/ydp-weekly-menus.

PAYMENT FOR SPRING BREAK DAYS
Care is offered at a pro-rated rate of $27.00 per day for children who attend RisingOaks' before and/or after school programs. For those who attend only before school or only after school, you will be invoiced for the difference between your before or after school rate and the $27.00 full-day rate.
