On the weekend of July 1 and 2 I will be leading a trip to the Border Track in Ngarkat Conservation Park. This section of the Border Track runs from Pinnaroo to Bordertown. The Border Track is sand dune driving, as such this trip will be no trailers- tents and swags only.
Campsite: Red Bluff, Vic. No fees apply. The campsite has drop toilets but no other facilities.
Permits: An entry permit is required for Ngarkat Conservation Park. THESE can be booked online at the following link and cost $12.50 per vehicle.
Meeting Point: Car park to the east of the OTR service station in Pinnaroo (
Google Maps link here) at 10am for a 10:30am departure. Pinnaroo is approx 3 hrs from Adelaide. Please arrive fully fuelled and with everything you need for the weekend, as there are no supply stops once we leave Pinnaroo.
To bring: Recovery equipment (shovel, snatch strap, shackles, maxtrax etc), Sand Flag, Firewood
Hope to see you there.
Regards,
Scott Woollatt
