Given the unprecedented times we are living through, Camp Eclipse's activities for the 2020 year are going to look much different.
Camp Eclipse: OUT in the City will bring together youth between the ages of 16 and 24 for two days of empowering workshops which take a solution-focused, and strengths-based approach to the issues faced by two-spirit, lesbian, bisexual, gay, trans, queer, intersex, and ace (2SLBGTQIA+) youth. Camp Eclipse will bring new ways of networking and finding community in these challenging and unprecedented times. This camp is open to any youth, regardless of their gender and sexual identity.
Unlike years in the past, this year's Camp Eclipse will take place in St. John's as a day program to follow the recommendations set out by the provincial Medical Officer of Health to protect our communities. Planned Parenthood - Newfoundland and Labrador Sexual Health Centre and YWCA St. John's will be hosting this year's Camp Eclipse: OUT in City from Friday, October 23, 2020, to Sunday, October 25, 2020, at The Lantern (35 Barnes Rd) in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
At Camp Eclipse: OUT in the City, youth learn how to make things better for themselves and others.
Camp Eclipse will benefit youth, who will be empowered to:
•
find support for themselves
•
offer support to other youth
•
take positive steps to help end discrimination
•

•
and overcome challenges in their lives
Camp Eclipse creates a safe space to:
