The Stanford Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Program (EMED 111A), gives students the theoretical and practical training to prepare for EMED 111B/C, offered in Winter and Spring quarters, which provides the training necessary to receive an EMT certificate. It also prepares students to sit for the NREMT exam for First Responders/EMRs. The course is available via open enrollment on Axess.
Enrollment is only available to Stanford University students (undergraduate, graduate). Staff and faculty of Stanford University can be accepted on a space-available basis. If you are a staff or faculty member, please enroll and also email us.
***Please note***: BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross is a requirement for this course. If you do not have this certification, we will provide you opportunities to obtain this certification during the quarter.
