Hello applicants!

Please fill out all of the fields below to have your application considered for the sixty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women taking place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from the 6th-17th of March 2020. Representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world are invited to attend.

2023 is set to be the first year of in-person UNCSW Conference since before the pandemic! The key themes of this coming conference will be:

  • Priority theme: Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls
  • Review theme: Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls

If you are selected to go with the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace the cost is $50 and applicants are responsible for costs associated with travel, food, accommodation and incidentals. There is no UN registration fee. VOW may have very limited travel funding for those in special circumstances or fundraising assistance.

With the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace you will also have the opportunity to attend NGO hosted workshops, private briefings with select NGOs such as Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom , as well as an exchange of views with the Mission of Canada to the UN.
