Scholarship details:
1) Group Lessons, 12:00 PM - 3:45 PM PST, Ski and Snowboard at Stevens Pass Ski Area, Heavenly South Lake Tahoe, and Park City Mountain:
Stevens Pass: Thursday-Saturday
> February 29 - March 02, 2024
> March 07 - 09, 2024
> 1 Affinity Ride: March 15, 2024
Heavenly South Lake Tahoe: Thursday-Saturday
> March 07 - 09, 2024
Park City Mountain: Thursday-Saturday
> March 21 - 23, 2024
3) Continued mountain access awarded on completion of scholarship activities and desire to work on the hill (1 and 2 above).Scholarship eligibility requirements:
1. Must 18 years of age or older.
2. Must be a Black, Indigenous, Woman of Color including Trans-Woman of Color, or Genderqueer under-represented in snow sports
3. Must have strong personal motivation to learn the skiing or snowboarding disciplines
4. Must currently live in the United States and be a citizen, permanent resident, or DACA of the United States of America.
5. For Seattle you must reside in Seattle or surrounding areas (i.e. King, Snohomish, and Pierce county) and Leavenworth area. For South Lake Tahoe - Heavenly must reside in local area or surrounding areas of Nevada and California. For Park City - must reside in local area or surrounding areas of Salt Lake City.
6. The first 400 applications received by 12:00 PM PST on Tuesday 17, 2021 will be reviewed by an independent objective review committee. Regrettably applications will close once 400 applications are received.
7. Selections will be announced February 31, 2022.
