L’Alliance Française de York (AFDY) est membre du réseau des Alliances Françaises du Royaume-Uni. L' AFDY a été créée en 1994 et sa mission est de promouvoir la culture et la langue françaises à York et sa région.
C’est une organisation à but non-lucratif, auto-financée (Charitable Incorporated Organisation, CIO) qui propose des classes de langue, un programme culturel de conférences et d’événements en français, des clubs de lecture et de cinéma, des cafés-conversation, des événements à thème et des activités dans le cadre du jumelage York-Dijon.

The Alliance Française de York (AFDY) is part of the network of Alliances Françaises in the UK. The AFDY was created in 1994 to promote the French language and French/Francophone culture in York and the surrounding region. It is a self-financed, non-profit organisation (Charitable Incorporated Organisation, CIO) that offers language courses and cultural programming which includes talks and events in French, book and film clubs, online café-conversation and in-person conversation meet-up sessions, themed events, and activities related to the York-Dijon city twinning.
