Parents at Hub
Our HASCA Hub is a community and we expect parents to attend with their children and be a part of our HASCA Hub community too.

Unfortunately, we are not able to aaccommodate children without a parent or caregiver in aattendance.

We want you to get involved and chip in where you see a need. We have specific responsibilities that need to be completed each week such as tidying up, supervising children, welcoming new families, cleaning up, and vacuuming. We are also always keen to hear from parents who would like to teach a class on Thursdays as the Hub. Contact Nina to discuss.
Registration
To register for any classes please answer the questions below, fill out the parent details, and then register each child individually in their chosen classes.
Have you participated in HASCA Hub classes before? *
Do your children aged 6+ have a current approved or in process homeschooling exemption from the Ministry of Education? If you click on other, please explain. *
In which of the following ways are you prepared to contribute as a Hub Family member? *
Required
Parents make great teachers, no qualifications are needed. Would you be interested in teaching a class? Please tell us more about what you would like to offer and your experience.
As per YMCA Health and Safety rules - Parents or a nominated caregiver for all children under 15 are required to remain onsite for the duration of their children's participation in Hub activities.  When your children are NOT in a class, you are expected to actively supervise them. However, you do not need to remain in classes with your children unless you are required to support them in a class. Please provide the names of any adult caregivers who will be onsite during the Hub programme each week in your place.
Teenagers aged 15+ may attend without a caregiver but they are expected to be respectful of other YMCA users and Hub members at all times, to be mindful of their language, to chip in and help with things such as setting up, cleaning up, putting gear away, etc. We also ask that they be mindful of younger children... If your teenager aged 15+ will be attending without a caregiver please provide their name, age, and class details below. Please also state during which sessions they will be onsite.
We have a few rules below. Please read them and tick the agreement box below showing you have understood each of these and have communicated them to your children.
No running around within the YMCA facilities except for in the stadium during your class.

A parent or caregiver is to remain onsite with all children under 15 years of age.

Children should be actively supervised by an adult, parent or nominated guardian.

Clean language, courtesy, respect, and consideration of other YMCA users, Hub members and students, class coordinators and tutors is expected at all times.

Our designated indoor area is to the right of reception - outside the Rendle Room and in the rear foyer which is just outside the sports stadium.

Please do not use the seats outside the physiotherapy area ( to the left of reception); that area is a reception for their clients.

Please do not congregate in the entry foyer near reception. - Our area is outside the rear foyer by the stadium.

Please no bouncing or throwing balls anywhere other than in the stadium (and only if you are participating in a class).

Remain downstairs in the areas allocated to us unless you are participating in ballet or a class upstairs. If you are not in an upstairs class, remain downstairs.

Children are not to play in or use the lift. It is for staff and those who are unable to use the stairs.

Please use the combined changing room/shower and toilets - male and female - near the sports stadium and drinking fountain, behind the Rendle Room. The other smaller/single toilets (near the small meeting room) are for public use.

Fees for individual classes are expected to be paid in full by the due date. Class facilitators/tutors will email you directly to advise payment details etc upon accepting your registration. *Fees are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled.

Visitors (i.e.: grandparents or friends) are always welcome but please let us know they are coming, and check in with us when you are there so we can make you feel welcome.

If you want to bring a friend to trial a class, please ask first as classes may be full or the programme may not allow for extras.

Please be aware that setting off the fire alarm will result in a $1300+gst fine. Please ensure that your children do not accidently trigger this as you could be liable for the fine.
Tell us, have you read and understood the rules? *
Yes, I have read and understood the HASCA Hub & YMCA venue rules above. My family will abide by them & any specific preferences issued by the tutors/coordinators of the HASCA Hub classes we register for & participate in.
