Hello all! This application is to join our IgNITE Medical Case Competition team! IgNITE is a medical case competition started by students and is joined by students across North America. The case competition aims to introduce students to the world of research and provide them valuable knowledge on research techniques and science communication. IgNITE provides opportunities for our generation to step into the scientific community feeling empowered and motivated.

All our VP Positions are part of the IgNITE Headquarters team, which is not tied to a specific school. This means that anyone and everyone is welcomed to this team (high school, undergraduate, graduate, or working etc)

Title: Video Content Creators

Job Description: As content creators you will be responsible for planning, creating and posting fun and unique content to TikTok and Instagram Reels. This will be key to our outreach plans. You will work under the delegation of VP Internal managing the TikTok account.

*Applicant does not need to be a registered student at a specific school - all are welcome on our Headquarter team
**Open to applicants from all disciplines

Time Commitment:
Contract Dates: July 2022 - April 2023
Peak Periods (July, September/October, February/March): 2-4hrs per week
Non-peak periods: 1-3hrs per week

Responsibilities:
Filming and posting social media content on a consistent basis
Collaborating with other VP Internals and Social Chairs of Branches to coordinate the release of important information
Facilitating marketing campaigns that will ensure the growth of the competition
Grow social media presence (followers, engagement, and activity)
Collaborate with other organizations to grow our brand awareness
Set a personal example of sharing IgNITE content
Create a collaborative environment

Key Competencies:
Previous experience making content will be an asset
Creativity and unique ideas
Outgoing personality, comfortable with being filmed and posted across social media
Knowledgeable/actively uses main social media platforms
Effective communication skills
Ability to follow deadlines, delegate work accordingly and perform quality control measures on all work
Ability to succeed in a high paced environment
Ability/maturity to work with peers, high school and undergraduate students.
Demonstrating effective interpersonal skills
Showcase initiative and follow through
Bilingualism will be an asset
