I want to get a feel for rowing on National Learn to Row day sponsored by US Rowing on Saturday, June 3. I will drop by TBC at 2900 Virginia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20037, sometime from 9 am until 12 noon. I understand there will be erg demos, boat house tours, plus brief rowing in an 8+ considering weather and availability of equipment/personnel. Also includes conversations with rowers from Rock Creek Rowing
https://www.rockcreekrowing.org/ or TBC Open Rowing
https://tbcracing.org/ and Gray Knights Rowing Club
https://www.grayknightsrowingclub.com/ Sign-up doesn't guarantee that you will get to row on the water. But it helps with planning, so feel free to indicate interest here. There is no charge for this US Rowing sponsored event.
NOTE: If you are serious about learning how to row, take a class at TBC
https://boatingindc.com/rowing-lessons/ or TBC Open Rowing
https://tbcracing.org/ or Capital Rowing
https://www.capitalrowing.org/crcwp/join/learn-to-row/The June 3 learn to row will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather.
Consider getting in shape for rowing with Rock Creek Rowing's popular Winter Training from December through March: erging, weights, core and more at Georgetown University's Yates Field House (depends on Covid) or zoom.
