A trip through the Victorian High Country.Experienced 4wders only with a capable vehicle.
Summary: Open to experienced 4wders (members will get priority), with
High Lift vehicles and/or under body protection. Snorkels/diff breathers
preferable as there are numerous water crossings of varying depths,
however none usually higher than top of wheel height (that may change
depending on amount of rain received prior to trip).
Accommodation: Tents and swags. No campers preferred as some tracks are very narrow and oncoming traffic may be encountered, and some have switch backs.
We will take 2 days to get there and 2 days to get home. We will
initially head for the Mt Buller region and then it is fairly fluid and
will depend on how much driving each day people want to do, where people
have been previously and the weather. If time permits we would like to
go to Wonnangatta valley, Talbotville and Dargo. Ideally to do all that
comfortably we would need an extra day or two. How flexible are you with
leave?
To bring: Recovery equipment (shovel, snatch strap, shackles, maxtrax etc),
Sand flags Required : No
