This job will include, but not be limited to the following duties:

-Greeting guests, checking in clients, and monitoring the Cafe during open hours

-Taking payments, stocking merchandise, and keeping the store and Cafe tidy

-Using our reservation system to make and change appointments

-Monitoring cat behaviors, health, and interactions with guests

-Discussing adoptions with visitors and reporting relevant information back to head staff

-Conduct adoptions if needed

-Administering medications, driving cats to veterinary appointments, and alerting other staff to potential health issues immediately

-Managing our social media including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

-Cleaning the Cafe when volunteers miss shifts or there is a gap in the schedule

-Communication with current manager regarding ongoings at the Cafe

-Create a welcoming space for all humans and cats

-Helping to coordinate volunteer schedules when needed

Experience is necessary in the following fields:

-Customer service and handling payment systems

-Cat care in a shelter or rescue setting (volunteer experience is okay)

-Working with a small team to accomplish tasks and troubleshoot

-Social media content creation (utilizing Canva, IG reels, and TikTok videos)

Experience in fundraising or working for a non-profit is highly valued, but not required.

*This job is not all about petting cats. You will be asked to clean the messes that cats leave behind (feces, urine, vomit, etc.). You are expected to stay on-task throughout the day, despite having 20+ cats around you. You will inevitably get a lot of time to interact with the cats, but your main focus is on client relations and creating a positive customer experience.*

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in animal welfare who is looking to learn, expand their reach, or create a new path in the field.
