We invite you to participate in the 3nd annual Barbells, Bears, and Butts Deadlift Competition at
Bearrison Street Fair! Bearrison will be held Saturday, Oct 19th, 2024, 12:00-6:00PM at 11th & Harrison Street in San Francisco, CA. The goal of the deadlift competition is to both celebrate strength athletics and offer entertainment for the bear community. Bearrison Street Fair is a non-profit charitable event.
COMPETITION INFORMATION
Bearrison Street Fair is hosted by the Sisters of
Perpetual Indulgence and the Bears of San Francisco. All genders are welcome to compete in the deadlift. There will be two rounds of competition, 1-2PM & 3-4PM. There will be several bar weight options. Bar weights will be 135 lbs, 225 lbs, and 315 lbs. Round 1 will have the bar weights of 135 lbs and 225 lbs. Round 2 will have the bar weight of 315 lbs. The winner of each round will be the participant who lifts the most reps. Participants will choose ONE bar
weight in which to compete. Winners will be awarded up to $100. We also want to have a sexy good time. Jock straps and singles encouraged, gay flare welcome, or you can wear any attire in which you are comfortable competing. Belts and wrist straps allowed, knee-high socks required. We will have a
clothing check for your gear and/or clothes.
The safety of the athletes is a top priority. Bearrison Street Fair is working in partnership with MetalBob
Training to ensure the event abides safety and judging standards. We
will provide warm-up equipment, water, snacks, sunscreen, first aid
supplies, and a lifting platform for the competition. In addition, the
fair will have medical staff on site. The weight equipment will be
provided by Fitness SF. There will be an emcee and MetalBob will be the head judge
