We are accepting art submissions for the 4th annual Women of Color Roar Breakfast, which will be on Juneteenth (June 19, 2021) from 7:30 to 9:30 AM. This year the event will be digital for safety reasons.

This event brings young Women of Color together with community leaders and provides an opportunity for these future leaders to meet and speak with community role models.  Future leaders can build networking skills and visualize their future.  

We are collecting submissions of art around the theme "Sheroes Rise!".   Girls can submit an artistic creation of an exceptional Woman of Color or they can create something new to share with the community.  The Shero can be anyone- past or present, famous or infamous, even a family member!  Do Kamala Harris or Michelle Obama inspire you?  Harriet Tubman or Dolores Huerta?  Or perhaps Amanda Gorman, Stacey Abrams, or any of the wonderful women of color serving in government?  Art is not limited to canvas, but can be a sculpture, mural or some other visual art form. The creation should show us how their shero has inspired them. This year we will be celebrating many of those Sheroes - and also some wonderful student artists!

Before submitting your work, make sure you have everything necessary:
☑️ Your parent or guardian's permission
☑️ The title of your artwork
☑️  A photo of your artwork
☑️  A photo of you holding your artwork
