Thank you for applying to participate in Autumn Fest 2023.  We are excited to review your application! 

Spearfish DBA reserves the right to decline vendors if their merchandise is found to be inappropriate,  non family-friendly, or duplicates the merchandise of another vendor within the same categories. We also reserve the right to limit the number of vendors.

Each vendor must have a valid South Dakota Sales Tax License or submit sales tax information using their Social Security number, and a Certificate of Liability from your insurance company naming the Spearfish Downtown Business Association as additionally insured. 

Each vendor will be provided a Special Event Sales Tax Form from the SD Department of Revenue.
Vendors are expected to pay sales tax on all profits. All vendor names will be provided to the SD
Department of Revenue for reporting purposes. If you are a food vendor, you may be subject to
inspection by the South Dakota Department of Health.

You are also required to haul out your garbage – bring your own trash cans and bags. Do not fill the trash cans on the street and do not dump the trash in the dumpsters in the alleys.

Retail and non-profit vendors must supply their own tables and tents.

No refunds/rain dates

Setup begins at 7:30 am AGAIN tables and tents are not provided. The event will run from 9am to 4pm.  Bringing your vehicle in for early tear down is NOT ALLOWED. Bring enough of your product and
help to be able to stay until 4 pm when booth tear down begins. If you do need to leave early, you must
hand carry your items out of the vendor area. Safety is our top priority.  Any vendor bringing a
vehicle into the barricaded area will not be allowed to return and they will forfeit their vendor fee. The
safety of our patrons should be the concern of vendors and organizers alike, so your cooperation is
mandatory.

Participants are responsible for the set-up and clean-up of their booths. Participants cannot impair
other booths (i.e. sign or display blockage). Vendors will not be allowed to move booth locations once
a booth has been assigned. No exceptions. This is a late fall event held in the streets and can be subject
to direct sun, cold, or wind. Please plan accordingly. We also cannot have vendors moving to the
sidewalks or against the curbs impeding walking traffic or downtown merchant displays.

Vendors keep all profits from their booths. No other royalties or percentage fees are charged other than
booth rental.
