IMPORTANT INFO
-Teachers will need to prepare lessons, and therefore we need commitment from parents. There is a curriculum on the Divine Liturgy that we will be using for the upcoming year.

Gentle but very serious reminders:
1) Church school days do not mean Divine Liturgy does not exist on other Sundays or on other days throughout the year.

2) Church school lessons cannot substitute what is being taught, learned, and encouraged at home and through the church services. The church school lessons are meant to supplement and help what should be encouraged in home in terms of a life in Christ in the Orthodox Church.

3) Church school lessons cannot replace the church services. The Divine Liturgy is the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, where we gather together with our Lord Himself, the Panagia, and all the Saints. If we truly realized what is happening in the Divine Liturgy, we would be anxious to get to the church as soon as possible.

We are asking you to commit the children in your family to once-a-month religious education on Sunday morning at 9am.

There will likely be 4-5 broader groups of students, due to space limitations this year.

Class would last from 9:00am-9:30am.

Divine Liturgy will start at about 9:30am, and the children will come into the church for Liturgy and we will have once a month YOUTH SUNDAYS and potential GOYA meetings after as well.

The sermon after the Gospel will be geared towards the youth and said only in English, focusing on the theme of the Divine Liturgy.

The youth will also recite the Nicene Creed together in English, and one of the teenagers will also read the Epistle in English.

Students must be 4 years old & potty-trained and older. Diapers, pampers etc. will not be provided and we do not have the extra staff to accommodate "emergencies". Please respect your child's progress and our learning environment.
