Please read the following message from the School Superintendent, Dr. Christina M. Kishimoto.

Aloha Parents and Guardians,

As we begin the new school year, the HIDOE staff are applying what we’ve learned from the COVID-19 pandemic to better support our students and their families moving forward. Thank you to the 32,572 parents and guardians who responded to the family survey. Your responses provided valuable data to help inform our efforts as we continue to plan for both online and in-person learning. The COVID-19 pandemic provided challenges but also identified opportunities for us to reinvent and innovate educational delivery, and support to our students and families with new technology tools and access to technology.

In order for us to prepare students and families for online and blended learning, as well as to be prepared in the event of school closures, we are asking you to please let us know if your child has access to a device and internet connectivity at home by completing this survey.
