Join the CSD Book Club
Welcome and thank you for joining the Community Safety and Diversity Working Group Book Club. Formed in 2018, the CSD Book Club has served as a safe space for community members to discuss topics on social justice and building community. This year, we're excited to partner up with UCI Illuminations and the UCI Humanities Center!

UHills Community Safety and Diversity Book Club Guidelines
-Purpose: Build community, promote reflection and conversations about issues that matter.

-Maintain a safe, respectful environment; follow Covid precautions.

-Usually meets on third Sundays from 6-7:30 pm.  Check the calendar since we don’t meet every month or we may make adjustments to the meeting date.

-Meet in the Community Center after Covid restrictions are lifted; otherwise will meet via Zoom.

-Hosts are community members who have selected readings and volunteered to lead sessions.

-Host works with coordinator to post information on the UHills website and send to the community via the listserv usually at least 1 month in advance of the meeting.

-Some selections are coordinated with UCI Illuminations and Humanities Center events on campus; in these cases the notice will include campus event information.

-Hosts will lead the discussion with opening and follow up questions. The host will moderate the discussion to ensure everyone has a chance to speak.
