By attending the Love Is Black Podcast Retreat, attendees hereby grant permission to retreat hosts (Harvey and Karese Laguerre), their agents, and others working under their authority to take and utilize photography, videography, and/or audio recordings of the attendee, including their image, voice, and likeness, for promotional and educational purposes. This includes but is not limited to website content, social media, marketing materials, and other Love Is Black publications.
Attendees understand that these materials will become the property of Love Is Black and will not be returned.
5. Liability:
Attendees understand and acknowledge that Love Is Black and its partners are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property during the retreat.
Attendees are encouraged to secure appropriate travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
6. Cancellation Policy:
Initial Deposit:
A non-refundable initial deposit of $500 per person is required to secure your spot and initiate the planning process. This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.Cancellation Timeline:
Cancellations made within 90 days of the trip start date (September 29, 2024) are non-refundable.
Cancellations made prior to the 90-day mark are partially refundable, with the refunded amount being the total amount paid minus the initial per person deposit and a $200 administrative fee.
Reasoning:
We understand that unexpected events may arise, and plans can change. However, due to the extensive time and meticulous planning involved in preparing a group trip, the initial deposit is non-refundable to ensure a commitment from attendees and facilitate the smooth organization of the retreat.Refund Process:
Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 7 to 10 business days of the cancellation request.Exceptional Circumstances:
In the case of exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies or other unforeseen events), we encourage attendees to contact us directly to discuss their situation. While we cannot guarantee a refund, we will do our best to work with individuals facing genuine and unavoidable challenges.Transferability:
Attendees have the option to transfer their spot to another person, provided the organizers are notified in writing. However, the initial deposit remains non-refundable.Notification of Cancellation:
