Cheer Tryout Week (February 21, 22, 23)
Day One:  February 21-No School but our tryouts are 3:00-5:00 pm
Day Two:  February 22-4:00-6:00 pm
Day Three;  February 23-4:00-6:00 pm

Results will be posted at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 25.

Parent/Guardian: Candidates may only tryout for cheerleader at the campus for which they are zoned. By entering your name below, you understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that your student is trying out for the campus for which the student is zoned.  If a transfer/move occurs after tryouts, the student forfeits his/her position on the current team and will not be placed on a team on the campus to which the student is transferring/moving. If student is found to not be zoned for the campus for which they are selected, the student will forfeit the position on the team. There are NO refunds or exchanges for any reason. This includes ordering incorrect items due to trying out at the incorrect campus. *
Parent/Guardian: By checking below, you understand that the student must have a current physical on file in RankOne or bring a completed physical to the first day of tryouts.   Due to Covid-19 guidelines, physical requirements may change. The following information is subject to change based on UIL guidelines once those are released. All participants must have a current completed physical on the appropriate MISD physical form turned in by the first day of the evaluation clinic. All physicals MUST be completed on the approved MISD UIL Physical Evaluation Form. Students who are NOT currently on the 7th grade cheer team or not in 7th grade athletics here at Cockrill may get the MISD physical form from the cheer coach on campus.  The form must but filled out by a doctor and turned in at the clinic on or before February 22. If your daughter is a current Cockrill cheerleader or is currently in 7th grade Athletics, she does not need a new physical before tryouts (her current form on file will suffice for tryouts).  New physicals for those who are current cheerleaders will have to be submitted by May 7, 2022. *
Parent/Guardian: By checking below, you understand and agree that all tryout decisions/results are final and no appeals may be made.   *
Parent/Guardian: By checking below, you understand that payment of $575 is due in full at the time of your student's uniform fitting. All payments will be made online. There are no exceptions/payment plans, etc. *

Parent/Guardian: By checking below, you understand that if your student is selected for the cheer team, the camp waiver form must be completed  prior to camp. You will also need to provide copy of the front and back of the student's insurance card or $6 cash to purchase camp insurance. *
Parent/Guardian: By checking below, you understand cheerleaders are considered athletes and will follow the same guidelines/rules as all other MISD athletes. They will follow the Student Code of Conduct, MISD Extra/Co-Curricular Contract, MISD Athletic Rules, MISD Cheerleading Guidelines and any additional campus guidelines, handbooks, or rules. You also understand that duties begin as soon as results are posted and do not end until the last day of school of the 22-23 school year. *
