Let's learn about the Plan Loves Forests Program🌲
Each year, PlanToys — in collaboration with Plan Group — hosts an annual reforestation program (Plan Loves Forests) with the goal of preserving and restoring watershed forests while cultivating environmental awareness and accountability. To date, we have planted approximately 50,000 trees in Chaiyaphum Province, Thailand. Today, we’re working to expand our reforestation programs in Thailand to all of our global offices!
And, on top of this, we hope you know that we’ve never cut down a single tree. You might be wondering, “Well, then how do you gather the rubber wood material for your wooden toys?” We’re happy you asked!
Rubber trees produce latex for only a portion of their life; and once they can no longer be tapped for the substance, they are typically cut down and burned. PlanToys gathers these trees that would otherwise be burned and uses the rubber wood to create wooden toys! Simply put, we’re doing our best to make use of the whole tree — a tree that would otherwise not go on to serve any other purpose.
