Like so many in Guelph-Wellington, the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington is concerned about how best to support the most vulnerable in our community during this unprecedented time of shut-downs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Foundation is especially concerned about the children and youth who rely on food support through their Food & Friends student nutrition program.

The Children's Foundation, in partnership with local organizations, has created a temporary support program called Fresh Food for Kids. This emergency support program will provide nutritious food to local children and youth in need in Dufferin, Wellington and Guelph.

Families with children already being supported by the Children’s Foundation through their Food & Friends student nutrition program will be eligible to submit a request for a Fresh Food for Kids kit. This kit will include a variety of food, similar to what would be provided as food through a Food & Friends program at a school.

We will be processing requests weekly on a first-come first-serve basis and will send email confirmation and delivery information once scheduled. Only fill out one entry form per family.

Weekly deliveries will happen in Guelph, Wellington, Mapleton and Minto and now families in Dufferin County can expect bi-weekly deliveries. All will be dropped right to your front door. For the safety of your families and the community, the delivery workers will not be entering your home.
