Each year the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) comes together to celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world by increasing public dialogue about the need for engineers and bringing engineering to life for kids, educators, and parents (
https://www.asce.org/event/2021/engineers-week).
The San Francisco Younger Member Forum (SF YMF) will participate in E-Week by presenting to Bay Area k-12 students about the wonders of civil and environmental engineering. We are assembling an E-Week committee to help brainstorm ideas. We are also gathering a list of volunteers to help present the material to classrooms during the week of February 22-26. On February 27th (Saturday) we will host a session open to the general public.
If you are interested in being a volunteer for E-Week, please fill out this form.
If you are interested in joining the E-Week Committee, please indicate your interest on this form.
Please note that all volunteers will be required to attend a one-hour training session prior to the volunteer day.
Please feel free to reach out to the SF YMF Philanthropy Chair (
