UPDATED (6/14/2021): ONE CITY K-2nd scholars have been invited to sing the "NATIONAL BLACK ATHEM" at the opening ceremony at PENN PARK at NOON (at the conclusion of the parade!) with One City's previous choir director, DR. MOORE!
*******************************************************************************************************
We are asking our One City staff and families to sign up to represent One City in this year’s JUNETEENTH PARADE on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 under the theme, “Black Resilience: Rising from the Ashes”. More info =>
https://kujichaguliamcsd.org/celebration-park/Not only will we support our local community at Penn Park, it also gives us/One City an opportunity to be present and reach out to targeted families for our Fall 2021-22 enrollment.
We had fun TWO years ago in the Juneteenth parade: the scholars (4K and up) rode their bikes and the adults/parents accompanied their children by walking with us. You can bring your child's own bike(s) or, if requested, we can bring over donated bikes housed at Coyier. Feel free to decorate the bikes with paper streamers in One City colors.
PLEASE (HAVE CHILDREN) WEAR ONE CITY SHIRTS and BRING WATER BOTTLE to stay hydrated!
*** ONE CITY T-SHIRTS PROVIDED IF PARTICIPATING IN THE PARADE (Adults & children) ***
GREAT MEDIA COVERAGE from all over Dane County will be on-hand!
