Food Vendor Application
Thank you for your interest in joining the Beacon Sloop Club’s event as a food vendor. Your participation helps to make our event a continued success. As an environmental organization we strive to ensure that our events continue as earth-friendly as possible. We have arranged our festival food service ware to be composted  with Sustainable Material Management, in Cortland Manor, NY, therefore only approved service ware is permitted at our festival.

Festival dates and application deadlines: 

Strawberry Festival   June 9, 2024.                         Deadline :   May 23, 2024
Corn Festival              August 11, 2024.                  Deadline :   July 24, 2024
Pumpkin Festival.      October 20, 2024                 Deadline :   October 1, 2024

All vendors who submit application and payment after deadlines will incur a $30 late-fee. Upon acceptance you will be invoiced for payment and insurance for date of festival will be due.

Requirements for Food Vendors 

• All vendors are required to sell drinks and soda in cans. 
• No plastic food service wear is allowed. 
• Individual packets ketchup, mustard, soy-sauce, styrofoam, plastic carry out bags, and mixed material products (such as paper-lined foil) are not permitted. 
• Single-Serve Packaged Snacks: The sale of single-serve, packaged snacks (chips, cookies, etc.) is prohibited unless all packaging is compostable. 
• All food and service ware must comply with our Sustainable Materials Management requirements in Cortland Manor, NY.  This means all cutlery/plates/straws/bowls/cups MUST BE COMPOSTABLE. (If you need a supplier for these items, check out BGreenToday, Eco Products, or Greenstaurant.) Recyclable and Biodegradable items are not the same as Compostable (usually made out of plant-based products that breakdown during the natural compost process and are not toxic to the soil), so please make sure to purchase compostable. GUIDELINES FOR ALL VENDORS: 
• All vendor applications are subject to approval. 
• Vendors are only allowed to sell approved merchandise. 
• All merchandise and displays must remain within the allotted space. 
• Vendor locations are limited to designated areas and availability. 
• Tents must be staked and weighted. 
• All vendors must provide their own tents, tables, and chairs.   
• Vendors are responsible for keeping their area neat, clean, and hazard-free. 
• Vendors are responsible for taking all packing material and boxes, etc. with them at the end of the day and must clean up their area. 
• Comprehensive General Liability is required. 
• Set up starts at 9 AM. No cars on the festival grounds after 11:30 AM. 
• All vendors must sign a waiver of release.

I have read the above vendor letter and agree to its terms. I agree to remove all garbage from the grounds relating to my booth at the conclusion of the festival. I agree to order service ware that is compostable only to comply with Sustainable Material Management, Cortland Manor composting requirements. I understand that there are no refunds and that vendors assume all risk of loss or damage to persons or property and waive all claims against the Beacon Sloop Club and the City of Beacon. I will obtain all permits and certificates required by NYS and Dutchess County. I understand and agree that I will provide proof of Comprehensive General Liability insurance for the benefit of both the:
