The 2024 AEP Ohio Columbus 10K presented by Barbasol invites elite athletes to apply for inclusion in our event. The Columbus 10K does not pay appearance fees or reimburse elite runners for expenses, but will grant comped entry to a number of elite athletes.

In addition to granting comped entries, the AEP Ohio Columbus 10K will pay out prize money to the top 5 overall finishers per gender (details at https://www.columbus10k.com/elite-athletes). Additional prize money may also be available from USATF Ohio Association for their 2024 Long Distance Series as detailed here. We list our elite entry standards on the second page and ask for your recent running accomplishments.

Please note: only finish times of 39:00 or faster are eligible for prize money in our event. This has been achieved by all top 5 finishers at our event for many years.

We should be in touch with you regarding your request within 48 hours of receipt of a completed questionnaire.

To be eligible for elite entry or prize purse at the AEP Ohio Columbus 10K, an athlete must:

- Not be currently serving a suspension for use of a banned substance
- Not have ever served a ban for use of performance enhancing drugs
- Not be represented by coaches and/or agents who have had 2 or more athletes receive such suspensions in the previous 4 years
- Not be represented by coaches and/or agents who ever served a ban for use of performance enhancing drugs during their own athletic career
- Provide proper documentation proving they are eligible for prize money (form W-9, W-8ECI or W-8BEN)
- Consent to random drug testing according to the standards and procedures of USATF, USADA and WADA

Submission of an elite athlete questionnaire is acceptance of the above terms. All prize money will be distributed after the event by United States Postal Service mail to the address on file that you provide during registration.
