Community Care and Resourcing Model (CCRM): Quick Overview
What is CCRM?
  1. A framework for creating sustainable, values-driven businesses that prioritize care and mutual support.
Why was it created?
  1. To align business practices with the ethos of Healthy Humaning—authenticity, intentionality, and compassion—while ensuring long-term sustainability for owners, businesses and communities.
  2. To break social norms and taboos that make starting businesses even harder than it already is.
How does it work?
  1. By fostering cycles of care and resourcing through transparency:
    1. The business supports the community with accessible resources (products, skills, information).
    2. The community supports the business through support and conscious contributions (financial or otherwise).
Key Principles:
  1. Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurship: Most businesses start as acts of care; the CCRM keeps that care at the center of every decision.
  2. Mutual Resourcing: A cycle of giving and receiving that sustains both the business and its community.
  3. Conscious Contributions: Voluntary, intentional acts of support that align with individual capacity and values.
  4. Sustainability First: Prioritizing the well-being of the owner and the business ensures they can continue serving their community.
Why does it matter?
  1. It’s a shift from traditional business models that often prioritize profit over people.
  2. The CCRM creates a collaborative environment where businesses and communities grow together.
  3. It creates opportunities of support for businesses that are historically at a disadvantage under current business practices.
How can it be applied?
  1. Entrepreneurs can use it to build businesses that reflect their values while maintaining financial sustainability.
  2. Community members and supporters can engage through conscious contributions, helping create a cycle of mutual care.
