Join the Lyman Allyn Art Museum for some fun artful learning over Spring Break. Workshops are half-day
drop-off programs, where we explore the museum and create art each day. Workshops are designed for children ages 6-12 and run from 9:30 am-12:00pm. Sign up for just one, or all four!

Tuesday, April 11: Wonderous Bugs
Enjoy learning about bugs and nature with the Small Wonders exhibition. Make a “puffy” giant butterfly and patchwork bugs to take home.
Wednesday, April 12: Celebrating My Life
Take inspiration from the exhibition Where Children Sleep. Paint a self-portrait and make a diorama of your room.
Thursday, April 13: Marvelous Mashups
Learn about the different ways collage and assemblages have been used in fine art. Make your own mixed media 2D and 3D works of art.
Friday, April 14: On Land and in the Sea
Enjoy the museum’s permanent collection land and
seascapes. Use different kinds of painting materials to represent scenes of our
Southeastern Connecticut surroundings.
