Help Clean Up Roadside Trash in Hartford!

Green-Up Hartford is May 1! Cleaning up trash along town roads is conducive to social distancing. We encourage volunteers to go out at their convenience, but if you go out before April 28th, please store your green-up trash at home until dumpsters are available.

Bags: Beginning Monday, April 19th, Green-Up bags will be available outside the Hartford Town Hall (building entrance parking lot side) and the Quechee Library (building entrance Willard Road side) and will be periodically restocked. Please take only the number of bags you plan to fill. Bags also will be available on Green-Up Day, Saturday May 1st between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Town Hall and Quechee Green.

Dumpsters will be available at the following two locations:
• Hartford Town Hall: Wednesday, April 28th – Monday, May 3rd.
• Quechee Green: Wednesday, April 28th – Monday, May 3rd.

Drop-off of Green-Up trash at the Hartford Solid Waste Facility will NOT be available this year.

Guidelines: Green-Up 2021 is similar to 2020. Our #1 priority is the safety of volunteers. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
• Wear gloves & a face mask.
• Volunteer with your household.
• Maintain 6 feet from others.
• Watch out for ticks. Protect yourself from ticks by tucking your pants into your socks and wear repellent for
ticks. Check yourself thoroughly from head to toe when you get home
• Watch out for poison ivy. It may be out and can cause allergic reactions

Registration: In an effort to maintain social distancing, in-person registration will not be available so please complete the form below. As an alternative to completing this form, you can email or call Hartford Green-Up Day Coordinator Matt Osborn at mosborn@hartford-vt.org or (802) 478-1118.
