Youth members of NC FCCLA are encouraged to apply to be a session leader at the IN-PERSON portion of the Fall Leadership Meeting in October.
Youth members selected to serve as a session leader will be partnered with another youth session leader, and will be responsible for presenting provided information to attendees. Session audience numbers are dependent upon the number of in-person attendees, but may be up to 200+ attendees. Youth session leaders will be provided a script and presentation materials to follow for their presentations, and will not be required to create their own presentation materials.
In addition to youth session leaders, an adult session facilitator will be available during the session to assist with technology or attendee management; however, chapter advisers are required to stay with their chapters during all sessions, and should be managing the behavior of their attendees.
This is a great opportunity for youth members seeking more opportunities to grow in their public speaking and leadership skills, as well as youth members who have interest in running as a State or National Officer in the future. **Serving as a youth session leader does not guarantee a student to obtain a state or national officer position.
If you are interested in serving as a youth session leader, please complete the information below. Selected youth session leaders will be notified no later than Friday, September 24th, and must be available to attend a required orientation and training session. More information on that orientation and training session will be available in their notification email.
