DSP Alternate Text Request Form

Only students registered with DSP and approved for e-text services may utilize this form. Please complete all required portions of the form below. You can add up to 10 titles. If your requests exceed 10, please submit an additional form. For the ISBN, utilize https://isbnsearch.org/ or https://www.amazon.com/. Please keep all of your textbook receipts, as we may need to ask you for proof of purchase on occasion.

You may also request a higher-quality digital version of any reading materials provided by your instructor via Canvas. Please specify the chapters/sections needed.

If you need access to a digital version of a course reader, you will need to fill out a separate form and provide proof of purchase of a paper course reader.

Requests are processed in the order in which they are received, so it is to your advantage to submit your requests as early in the quarter as possible. Note that requests take anywhere from 2-7 business days to fulfill. We will send you your e-texts via UC Connect Box, a shared drive with limitless storage that all UCSB students have access to. You will receive an email when your digital files are available on Box.

In cases where a digital copy is not available, we can remove the spine and scan the physical copy of your book to create a digital file.
