Oak Creek - Thursday, May 11th @ 5:30pm
Wisconsin has a $7.1 billion budget surplus, but our public schools and local governments are being squeezed at both ends. Not only has shared revenue been stagnant for over a decade, but arbitrary restrictions by state legislators make it impossible for municipalities to raise revenues on their own.

The result is that our local communities are struggling to fund basic services like, fire, police, snow removal, street repair, trash pickup, and - most importantly - our kids' education.

With our next state budget, we have an historic opportunity to restore necessary funding so our schools and our communities can thrive. Unfortunately, the Republican members of the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC) refused to schedule a single budget hearing in Milwaukee County, so I'm hosting one instead.

Join me and neighbors on Thursday, May 11th at 5:30pm at the following location:

Falk Park Pavilion
2013 W Rawson Ave
Oak Creek, WI 53154

Whether or not you are able to attend the Town Hall, I hope you will consider submitting your official budget comments online to JFC. Complete the form below for instructions.
