Section 1: Exploring the Radical Love of Jesus
If you don't know how to find passages in the Bible, see page 14 of your Catholic Youth Bible for help.
Dez shared about how her mom showed her love.  Who shows you great love, and how? *
Read Mark 10: 46-52
How was Bartimaeus an outsider, and how did Jesus show him love? *
Jesus asked Bartimaeus, "What do you want me to do for you?"  How would you answer if Jesus asked you this question, today? *
Read Luke 19: 1-10
How was Zacchaeus an outsider?  How did his experience with the love of Jesus change him? *
Read Matthew 8: 5-13
Note: The Centurion was a gentile, meaning he was not Jewish/part of Jesus' religion.  But he was more faithful and humbled by Jesus than many of the religious leaders of the time.
The Centurion says, "I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof" - the same words we say just before receiving Eucharist at Mass.  What do you think he meant, and why do you think we say it now? *
Section 2: The Greatest Commandment
Read Matthew 22: 37-40 AND the "Who is my Neighbor" article on page 1280 of your Catholic Youth Bible before answering these questions.
How might your school be different, if everyone there lived by the Greatest Commandment? *
How would you be different, if you lived by this commandment every day? *
Section 3: God's Love for You
Think of a song you would classify as a love song, and look up the lyrics.  Describe below how they do or do not reflect the kind of love God has for us. *
How would you describe the difference between loving yourself, being self-centered, and being selfish? *
