Encounter Retreat

Prayer is often viewed as a loving encounter between humanity and God, a building up of that relationship. With the busyness of daily life- balancing classes, homework, jobs, friendships, and family life- we often struggle to spend quality time with God. As our encounter lessens, our relationship declines.

The Encounter Retreat will address these issues, teach various forms of prayer/worship, and allow time for personal reflection ultimately reinvigorating the participants’ prayer lives. Encounter is an opportunity to re-encounter God and grow in relationship with the One who has so much love for us. Students who attend this retreat will be given the spiritual toolbox needed to better incorporate prayer into their daily lives so they can continue encountering God back on the bluff.

The Encounter Retreat will be held at Ponderosa Camp at Thousand Pines near Crestline, CA. Transportation will be arranged. Lodging and meals are provided.

Cost:  $75 (Financial assistance is available on a case by case basis. See Victoria Zobrist to discuss your options.)

Bus will leave on Friday at 5pm. Pizza dinner will be served. On Sunday, the bus will depart camp at 10am, getting back to campus by noon.

Note: This retreat only has 25 spots. Applications will be reviewed and applicants will either be offered a spot on the retreat or placed on a waitlist. If you are offered a spot, you must submit your payment within one week or your spot will be given to someone on the waitlist. If you pay and later back out of the retreat, you will need to contact the waitlist participants to find a replacement or you will have to pay what would have been the full cost of your retreat spot (an additional $100).
