FTC Workshop - Vuforia
The University of Victoria is hosting a series of workshops to help FIRST Tech Challenge teams learn the skills for designing, building and programming robots.  Most of the workshops will be lead by FIRST alumni who are current UVic students.

The workshops will be held at the University of Victoria on Friday afternoons from 4:30 to 6:00pm.   Please register for the sessions so we can update you if there's a last minute room change. Workshops will be in the  Engineering Lab Wing (ELW) building, room B215

Students should register individually rather than as a team.

Vuforia is an augmented reality software development kit (SDK) for mobile devices that enables the creation of augmented reality applications. It uses computer vision technology to recognize and track planar images and 3D objects in real time.  A library of Vuforia classes is included in the FTC SDK that supports using the robot controller phone camera to locate objects in the camera field of view and return actionable information to your program.

Vuforia can be used in Blocks, OnBot Java or Android Studio.  For this workshop, we’ll show teams how to use Vuforia in OnBot Java.
