The Evergreen Initiative Summer 2021 Sign-Ups: Pre-Algebra
After months of planning, the Evergreen Initiative is now offering classes in a wide variety of classes for the Summer 2021 Session. These are FREE Courses taught by experienced high-school teachers.

Each class has its own registration form. Filling out the form for one class will only register your child for that class.

IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION
Class Times: 6/26, 6/3, 7/10, 7/16**, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7, 8/14, 8/21 - 4 PM - 5 PM
**7/16 takes place on Friday, 4-5 PM, rather than the usual Saturday 4-5 PM.

About the course: This class will cover the basic topics usually included within an 8th grade level math course. It will include pre-algebra topics such as variables, linear functions, and systems of equations. This class does not cover geometry or graphical transformations.

Course objectives: After taking this class, students should be comfortable with manipulating variables in equations, finding equations of linear functions, and understanding the mathematical properties like exponents and rational numbers that complicate these graphs.

About the teacher: Hi everyone! My name is Philip Le and I am a Junior at Evergreen Valley highschool. I enjoy exercising, reading, and playing video games in my freetime and am very excited to be teaching this class.  I am currently taking Calculus AB. I’ve gotten an A in every math class I’ve taken in highschool, and have experience teaching math concepts to others through tutoring.
