Mountain Bike Measurements
Bike setup
Place your bike on a level floor with the rear wheel touching a vertical wall.
The bike should be perpendicular to the wall.
Use some string to cinch the front wheel to the down tube so the handlebars are square with the frame.
Clamp or tape some string between the ends of the grips so that the string starts on the top of the grips.
Measuring
Use a tape measure or yard stick
Measure to the nearest 1/16" or 1mm
Take the measurement at least three times and average the figures
Record the measurements in this form in millimeters
