Join the Community Safety and Diversity Working Group for the New York Times Magazine's critically acclaimed series, The 1619 PROJECT, which examines the legacy of slavery in America. The project is a compilation of essays, interviews, poems, photography, and more, in commemoration of August 24, 1619, the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first African slaves on North American soil.
