Environment Massachusetts is building a people-powered movement for 100 percent renewable energy.
In cities and towns across the Commonwealth, we're asking 100 people in each community to tell us why they want Massachusetts to go 100 percent renewable.
We're supporting the 100% Clean Act (H.3288, S.2136), filed by Rep. Marjorie Decker, Rep. Sean Garballey, and Sen. Joseph Boncore. This bill will transition Massachusetts to 100 percent clean electricity by 2035 and 100 percent clean heating and transportation by 2045.
Here's how to get involved in 100 for 100%:
1. Create your personal statement. It can be as simple as writing a few sentences about why you want Massachusetts to go 100 percent renewable. If you're feeling creative, you can record a video or create a work of art. The more personal you can make it, the better. Kids can participate, too!
2. Submit your statement. Use this form, or email your statement to
hnuttall@environmentmassachusetts.org. If you're submitting by email, make sure to include a photo of yourself as well as your hometown and your zip code.
3. Help us spread the word. Ask your friends and family to submit their own statements. Tell your church group or your neighborhood association about it. Share this page on Facebook and Twitter. With your help, we can collect 100 statements from your community.
Throughout the summer, we'll share these statements on social media and on our website. At the end of the summer, we'll deliver the statements to our elected officials.
