Scholastic Book Fair volunteers Fall 2023
Want to volunteer for our Scholastic Book Fair at Daybreak Schools (DBP & DBM) in October?  We would love to have your help!  The book fair will run October 30th through November 3rd during conference week. 
(1) Complete the volunteer google form if you are interested   You can sign up for 1st-3rd choice shifts that work for you.  There is also a question to let us know your availability for more shifts if we have gaps in our schedule.

All volunteers need to (2) complete the BGPS ONLINE VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

(3)  Bring your valid photo identification to Daybreak Primary or Middle school office for verification. Your identification must be turned in BEFORE your application can be processed. Once all documents are turned in, it takes 7-10 business days for clearance. Your application is valid for 2 years. Please turn in your background check ASAP.

Volunteers are needed for the following:
  • Set up fair: Friday, October 27th @ 12:45-3:00pm (help unpacking and displaying books and book fair merchandise)
  • Work the fair (cashier, help students with counting their change & locating books, straightening book fair items, etc.)
  • Monday 10/30 through Thursday 11/02 shifts: 8:30-11:30am and 11:30-2:30pm
  • Thursday night 11/2 @ 4:30-6:30pm
  • Friday 11/03 @ 8:30-1:00pm (closing early)
  • Tear down fair: Friday, November 3rd @ 1:00-3:30pm
Depending on shifts volunteers sign up for, we may need to move people around to fill gaps.  We will call or email to confirm shifts a week prior to the fair.  Please email or call us if you need to know earlier, in order to request time off work.
