Wisconsin Ice is offering a Sand Doubles Volleyball Program for the 4th year in the Spring  / Summer of 2022 for ages 4th-12th grades.

WHY play sand doubles?  Sand (or Beach) volleyball is an inexpensive way to cross train for the indoor game, get out of the gym and enjoy the weather. The sun, wind and sand act as resistance training with low impact on joints. Because there are only 2 players on the court during a match, ball contact ratios are very high. Plus there are NO SUBS! Everything we do translates well to the development of a lifetime sport and the increased speed and strength for the indoor game.  It is also a LOT OF FUN!!

HOW will this run?   Players sign up as an INDIVIDUAL for one of 3 programs:  Beach Bums, Beach Shades, or Beach Chips.  Taryn Vaughn, former pro beach player and Director will be leading these programs.  Practices will be inside in April and May at Wiggley in Schofield.  When it warms up we will practice at Dale’s Weston Lanes, Greenheck, Vaughn house (Hatley) and Wiggley. Times and Days TBD.  The season will run from late April- mid August. Instruction will be given at each practice and attendance is VERY flexible.  Tournaments are optional.  

Program Definitions:  
*Beach Chips:  (8-12 yrs old)- 1 practice per week. Location and day tbd.  Cost $75  includes a tank top.  
*Beach Shades: (13-18 yrs old)- 1 practice per week. Location and day tbd.  Cost $75  includes a tank top.
*Beach Bums: (13-18 yrs old)- 2 practices per week plus optional 3rd practice.  $350- includes uniform package; jacket/pants, uniform tank, long sleeve, crewneck sweatshirts, visor

 For the cost of 1 indoor summer camp at a major university you can get 4 MONTHS of sand volleyball training :)

What do I need to do?  Fill out the registration form and Venmo @Tarynvolley OR mail Taryn Vaughn (215255 Lakefront Dr. Hatley, WI 54440) with a check for $75 or $350 made out to Volleyball Specialists. We will email you confirmation and the practice schedule once we have received your registration and the schedule is finalized.


This is a program designed with your summer schedule in mind!!  It is a wonderful cost effective and commitment friendly opportunity!


 * All players must register with the Badger Region - only players who have not played club volleyball this year will have to register online and pay their summer fee. If you played indoor club volleyball this year you are already registered with USAV and will not need to pay anything.
