Black Star* Magazine 2019 - 2020 Application


Black Star* Magazine is Emory's first and only Black student publication. We produce both print and digital content.

Incoming staff have the option to apply to be either a Staff Writer, a member of the Creative Design Team, or a First Year Liaison. You are welcome to apply to more than one position. The application will be closed on Thursday September 26th at midnight.

Staff Writers are expected to contribute at least 2 articles per semester. One for the print issue and one for the website.

Members of the Creative Design Team can be anyone from a Photographer to a Stylist to a Social Media Manager. Members of the Creative Team , though they are certainly welcome to , are not expected to contribute written content to Black Star*.

The First Year Liaison will serve as the First Year Representative on the Black Star* Executive Board. The First Year Liaison must also be a Staff Writer or a Member of the Creative Team. In addition to their duties as a Staff Writer or a member of the Creative Team, they are expected to be present at all Exec Board functions.
