Between meetings of the State Convention, new chapters may apply for an Interim Chapter charter. Upon acceptance by a majority vote of the Executive Committee, chapters will be given provisional status lasting until 60 days before the next State Convention.

Provisional status allows chapters to publicly associate with the Kentucky Young Democrats and allows provisional chapter members the same privileges as members of regularly chartered chapters. The Kentucky Young Democrats Executive Committee shall not grant a chapter an interim charter in consecutive administrative years.

There shall be no fee for the issuance of interim Chapter charters. At the call of the next State Convention, chapters wishing to charter will need to provide a $50 chartering fee to the Kentucky Young Democrats
