Please submit a separate entry for each person. Parents or guardians should fill out a waiver on behalf of each minor child participating. Volunteers should submit a new signed waiver for each year of participation.

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
This Release and Waiver of Liability (the “Release”) is executed on the day and year first written below by the undersigned (the “Participant”) in favor of the Harris Center for Conservation Education, a New Hampshire nonprofit corporation, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, successors, and assigns (the “Harris Center”).

The Participant desires to work as a volunteer for the Harris Center and/or participate in Harris Center events and engage in the activities related to being a volunteer or participant (the “Activities”). The Participant understands that the Activities may include participating in workshops, field trips, and special events for the Harris Center, all as further described in the relevant Volunteer Handbook or event description, as applicable.

EVENT: Salamander Crossing Brigades

The Participant hereby freely, voluntarily, and without duress executes this Release under the following terms:

RELEASE AND WAIVER.  The Participant does hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless the Harris Center from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from the Participant’s Activities with the Harris Center.

The Participant understands that this Release discharges the Harris Center from any liability or claim that the Participant may have against the Harris Center with respect to any and all claims for bodily injury, illness, death, or property damage from any cause, including negligence, that may result from the Participant’s Activities with the Harris Center. The Participant also understands that the Harris Center does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability insurance in the event of injury, illness, death or property damage.

ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK. The Participant understands that the Activities may include work or activities on an ongoing basis without supervision that may be hazardous to the Participant, including, but not limited to, working outdoors, environmental exposure, difficult conditions, uneven terrain, unanticipated natural hazards, wildlife encounters, use of equipment, strenuous manual labor, moving materials (some of which may be heavy), working on or near roads and vehicles, and transportation to and from the Harris Center’s properties. The Participant hereby expressly and specifically assumes the risk of injury or harm in the Activities.

MEDICAL TREATMENT. The Participant does hereby release and forever discharge the Harris Center from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first aid, treatment, or service rendered in connection with the Participant’s Activities with the Harris Center.

PHOTOGRAPHIC RELEASE. The Participant does hereby grant and convey unto the Harris Center all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by the Harris Center during the Participant’s Activities with the Harris Center.

OTHER. The Participant expressly agrees that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire. The Participant agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release which shall continue to be enforceable. The Participant agrees that this Release shall also be binding upon the Participant’s heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.
