Shakespeare’s Swords: The Bard’s fight scenes
“Et tu, Brute?” The SBTS Young Company will spend this summer examining Shakespeare’s greatest fight scenes. From emotionally charged brawls to strategic fencing matches, Shakespeare’s plays are full of climatic moments of violence. This company program, led by SBTS Associate Artistic Director Drew Douris-O’Hara, is open to ages 14-20 and will culminate with a weekend of performances at the Halifax Central Library, The Halifax Waterfront and Point Pleasant Park. The Young Company will also have the opportunity to perform their scenes at select SBTS performances in the Cambridge Battery throughout the month of August.
