Schedule example: If a student takes one SART course and one ES course in Summer 2023, the grant will pay for one of the two classes (3 credits). If the student continues into the Fall of 2023 and takes 5 classes (4 SART and 1 ES course) the student would receive free tuition for 3 of the 5 classes (9 free credits). By the end of 2023 this grant would provide a student the ability to complete up to 7 classes with 4 classes covered by the tuition waiver (12 credits) and apply for their ES Certification. If this student continued into Spring 2024 then they could complete the remaining 5 SART courses with another 2 classes paid for by the grant. By May of 2024 this student would have taken a total of 12 classes, had 6 classes paid for by the grant and be eligible to apply for both their Certified Alcohol and Drug Certification (CADC) and the ACRE Employment Specialist (ES) Certification.
