Skiku Volunteer Coach Application
We're excited to return to rural travel this year! As we prepare for another busy season, we are getting a feel for interest in volunteers for rural village coaching, as well as for local programs.

We need your help as we return to offering Ski Weeks in rural communities all across Alaska. Join us and travel to a village, spend a week in rural Alaska, and teach kids and adults the sport you love. Did we mention that thousands of kids will have the opportunity to ski due to your hard work, enthusiasm, and passion for cross-country skiing?

We are surveying schools and communities about their interest in hosting coaches for a ski week this season. We will use this information to help schedule these trips and get back to you about placement in the new year. 

And don't forget – we will have plenty of opportunities for volunteers in Anchorage before our village trips, including supporting youth skiing programs in local schools and helping prepare equipment for the season.

Have you Completed SafeSport Training? *
We may ask you to complete SafeSport training before serving as a Skiku coach. Some of you may have received Safesport training through other programs like USSA or USBA. You can submit your completion certificates to info@skiku.com. If you have not completed Safesport training, we may send you instructions once you have been selected as a coach.
If you are 18 years or older, you may need to complete a background check to participate. If you have completed a recent background check for another volunteer agency or employer, you may be able to submit this instead of doing another check. We will be in touch with more details if you are placed on a coaching team
