Social Justice Network [hereinafter referred to as SJN] will confirm receipt of your family referral form within three (3) business days from completion,
verify the information and may request further
information if necessary. SJN will consider the relevant issues, contact the
other party, initiate negotiation and report back to you. If the parties reach settlement through mediation, a consent order can be signed to
avoid unnecessary court appearances and to save both parties costs and
time. Background
All mediators are accredited by NABFAM
(National Accreditation Board of Family Mediators), in
line with international standards. The SJN panel of mediators consist
of qualified advocates, attorneys, psychologists and social workers, and are governed by a Code of Conduct and philosophy of early settlement of disputes.
Their goal is to enable quick and fair settlement agreements and to ensure that
parties who chose not to use lawyers are not at a disadvantage.
The SJN's services include a free 30-minute pre-mediation session to explain the mediation process to both parties and to answer questions about the process. Clients can phone our office to make arrangements for pre-mediation sessions.
Please note: If clients live far apart, pre-mediation sessions can be done online.
Kindly direct all enquiries to theresa@socialjustice.co.za or info@socialjustice.co.za or phone SJN on 021 300 6309 or Cellphone 064 800 3975.
SJN is looking forward to assisting you in this matter.
