St. Joe's 2023-2024 Volunteer Opportunities
The St. Joseph's Parent Association (SJPA) at St. Joseph’s School is responsible for coordinating a strong and active volunteer program. As a St. Joe's parent, you are automatically an SJPA member and part of this wonderful parent-led organization. Parent volunteering is absolutely critical to St. Joe's. The school relies heavily on volunteers to conduct its many activities in and out of the classroom, including fundraising. Volunteer programs range from organizing and implementing various annual fundraisers to volunteering for school day activities, such as room parents, lunch helpers, etc. There are many volunteer activities available, so you may choose activities that interest you and utilize your skills. For parents who work outside the home, we have activities that can be done at home or on the weekends.

St. Joseph’s School requires each family to volunteer a minimum of 25 hours or more during the course of the school year, five hours of which are related to fund-raising activities. In addition, all volunteers who work directly with students are required to attend a face to face “Safe Environment Workshop” and have a criminal background check. The background check must be renewed every 5 years. In addition the Diocese of Boise requires that a renewal of Safe Environment be done each year. This can be done online using CMG Connect: https://boise.cmgconnect.org/.

All future school-wide volunteer activities, both general and targeted to fund-raising, are listed in this form. Please review the options and submit your preferences by August 2023.
